Billy Graham Takes a Bombshell.

For two years Billy Graham had been planning a Greater London Crusade, to kick off March 1st, 1954. This crusade was the greatest test of his ministry up to that point. The British were suspicious of the Yank and his "hot gospel." An Anglican Bishop predicted Billy would return to American with his tail between his legs. Even backers were uneasy. Nothing could shake spiritually dull England, they thought. Crusade in outlying regions first, they urged. Graham refused. God did not need a pilot program.............

Whatsoever Ye Asks

On Faith.

The way and means of exercising this faith, and of doing that which is to be done by it; All things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Faith is the soul, prayer is the body; both together make a complete man for any service.

Faith, if it be right, will excite prayer; and prayer is not right, if it do not spring from faith. This is the condition of our receiving - we must ask in prayer, believing. The requests of prayer shall not be denied; the expectations of faith shall not be frustrated.

Matthew Henry

Redeemer

My Redeemer Lives
I know he rescued my soul
His blood has covered my sin
I believe I believe

My shame He's taken away
My pain is healed in his name
I believe I believe
I'll raise a banner
'Cause my Lord has conquered the grave

My Redeemer Lives My Redeemer Lives
My Redeemer Lives My Redeemer Lives
You Lift my burdens I'll rise with You
I'm dancing on this mountain top to see your kingdom come

God specializes in redeeming the unredeemable. It is His preeminent desire for our souls and lives. If you are going through some troubles carrying a heavy load. Remember, He is the Redeemer. Trust in Him and He will come at an appropriate time to redeem.

Author of Life

Author of Life Acts 3:15 You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

That Christ is the Author or Prince of Life (KJV) signifies that “the life He had was not from another; the Prince of Author of Life must be He who has life from Himself.” The particular word used here means one who takes a lead in, or provides the first occasion of, anything.

Lord, you are the Originator of Life – physical, spiritual, and eternal. You alone have the power to give and take away life. Therefore, I fear not those who can destroy the body but not the soul. Teach me to walk in the fear of you and not to take my salvation for granted.

The Names of God - Almighty

Almighty Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

The term Almighty is used in the Bible 57 times and applied to God only often in comparison to the inability of the heathen gods. It tells of His all-sustaining power and grace for His people. It speaks of God's power to fulfill every promise He has made to His children and His faithfulness in performing every word He has spoken.

God, the self-disclosure of you as Almighty God has assured me of a sure and all-sufficient resource in every time of my need. What a comfort it is to know I serve a God who is all-powerful and is able to help me to overcome all obstacles in every given situations. God, nothing is too hard for you.

Humility

"We are very apt to amuse and humour ourselves with foolish fancies of things that will never be".

Matthew Henry

Matthew's exposition on humility based on Matthew 18.

God Almighty

GOD ALMIGHTY

The names of God hold an important key to understanding the doctrine of God and the doctrine of revelation. The name of God is a personal disclosure and reveals His relationship with His people. His name is known only because He chooses to make it known.

The truth of God's character is focused in His name. The divine name reveals God's power, authority, and holiness.

We will start this devotion 1 February 2007 and wants you to join us on this journey. Take your time, but let us finish it by 90 days - by 31 May 2007.
